After more than a year of plotting, planning, arranging and organising, our 35th anniversary event, An Island Full of Voices: Writing Britain Now has almost arrived…
We are delighted to announce that the long-listed entries for the 2019 Queen Mary Wasafiri New Writing Prize have been chosen and sent to the judges. Louise Doughty, Warsan Shire, and Nikesh Shukla are watching their mailboxes, opening excitingly heavy envelopes, and starting to read.
‘I try not to romanticise the writing process too much. Life is busy. Inspiration strikes at odd times. Just write.’ Wasafiri Wonders with Nikesh Shukla
