Vimbai Shire

Vimbai Shire is an independent editor, book designer and founder of Beyond White Space Ltd, which has provided project management, editorial and design services and training to publishers, businesses, institutions and individuals in the UK and internationally since 2007. Her client list includes the African Writers’ Trust, the Caine Prize for African Writers,  Canongate Books, Commonwealth Writers, Granta Magazine, Kwani?, Oneworld Publications, Periscope Books, Spread the Word, World Editions and award-winning authors Aminatta Forna and Leila Aboulela. Currently, she balances work on her Masters in Comparative Literature (Africa/Asia) at SOAS with freelancing as production associate for The Indigo Press and reading and editing manuscripts.
