Submitting articles to Wasafiri
Wasafiri is a peer reviewed journal and listed in the Thompson Reuters Arts & Humanities Citation Index. We welcome quality articles, essays and journalistic prose on a wide spectrum of literary and cultural subjects from around the world.
- Article submissions should be no longer than 6000 words in length and previously unpublished
- Work should be submitted as a Word document or equivalent (no pdfs please, and do not paste your article into the body of an email).
- Your name should not appear anywhere on the manuscript. Instead, please include your name and contact details in a covering letter/email.
- Please consult the Wasafiri Style Sheet and MLA guidelines for advice on formatting, general style points and citations. The Style sheet can be dowloaded as a pdf or is available on the Guidelines page.
Please be aware that Wasafiri's thorough in-house consideration and external peer review process means that a decision regarding publication can take six months.
